BOXPARK – the world’s first pop-up mall in London this December.
Pop-up stores have been, well, popping up for some time now. But never before have we heard of an entire pop-up shopping centre. Enter BOXPARK, the world’s first pop-up mall. BOXPARK comes to London’s irreverently creative heart of Shoreditch this December and promises to showcase some big-hitting sporting brand names such as Nike, 55DSL, Puma, Lacoste L!ve, Oakley, The North Face and Vans.
In addition to the sporting brands, BOXPARK will house new concept stores from Amnesty, Art Against Knives, David Mayer Naman and ONETrueSaxon. While fashion-wise, BOXPARK introduces some exciting firsts from fashion brands Abuze, Boxfresh, Luke, Smiley, OnePiece and Urbanears.
Don’t expect to see any high street chains here; every brand involved with BOXPARK has been invited to join. This pop-up mall has brought together a selective and harmonious collection of brands that promises to not only generate a genuinely exciting shopping buzz but also create a fun space to just hang out in.
The concept is this: inspired by his love of shipping containers, BOXPARK creator Roger Wade has, in collaboration with real estate developers Hammerson and Ballymore Group, created low cost, low risk “Box Shops” which can be put together into a basic building that is inherently moveable. The creators say they can dismantle and reassemble BOXPARK anywhere in the world. Seeing is believing, people.
To be part of this world first (really, how often to they come around these days), BOXPARK will be situated directly opposite Shoreditch High Street station and opens this December.
